Our Children and Youth-Based Ministries
We believe that the spiritual growth of everyone should be highly affirmed, no matter what the age of the individual person. We recognize that Children and Youth Ministry must be integrated into all parts of the church community. As such, our children/youth programs and opportunities are provided with a global perspective that promotes leadership development, spiritual growth and outreach awareness. Our central understanding of "Matthew 19:14 – But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven", is vital to our inclusion of children and youth in the life, work, and worship of the church.
With the word of God as the foundation of everything that we do it allows for a successful children/youth ministry that implements the tasks of modeling, counseling, teaching, praying, supporting, mentoring, training, disciplining and bridging. We believe that the development of our children/youth is not only a youth leader approach but a church family approach, and values the active support and involvement of parents and other adults in caring for the children and youth.
